The Parker Residence is a 3 bedroom timber frame home located on the crest of Pacific St in Zilzie.
Designed by Vaughan Building Design, this home features a masonry block base, timber subfloor & frame, and Hardies Scyon Lineaboard cladding. The rich hues of the engineered spotted gum flooring throughout the home take centre stage, softened with plush carpet underfoot in the bedrooms, and complemented by rectified edge porcelain tiles in wet areas.
The Eastern deck features spotted gum decking, glass balustrade with powdercoated aluminium posts and top rail, and 140 x 140 engineered merbau posts. The Western patio features polished concrete grind and seal, 140 x 140 merbau posts, and Luxaflex Evo roller blinds and aluminium shutters to provide wind proofing and privacy. Recessed sliding doors were incorporated into both thresholds to create a seamless transition from inside to out.
The thoughtful design of this home capitalises on the magnificent views of Keppel Bay to the east, mountain vistas to the west, and is designed to withstand the climatic conditions of its elevated seaside position.
